Interlochen Founds Band Directors Symposium
One of the largest (if not the largest) summer music programs in the world occurs in the northern United States at Interlochen Center for the Arts. It gathers students and professionals from around the world for a long summer of music making - some students and professional stay eight weeks or longer. During the remainder of the year, the Interlochen Center is a specialist, residential arts high school (secondary).

Conducting Attire
President-Elect Yeung received this brief article from BeyondTheNotes.com, a music education supplier in Fort Collins, CO (USA). Their notes are a good introduction to "braces", the differences between "tux", "sport coat", and "morning coat," a suggested length for a female conductors' dress, and a few other things you may run into along your way.
