ANBOC 2012 - Registrations Open!
ABODA is proud to announce that the ABODA QLD Branch will host the 2012 Australian National Band and Orchestra Conference (ANBOC2012) on Thursday 5 to Sunday 8 July. Plans and bookings are well underway for this major conference at the Edmund Rice Performing Arts Centre of St Laurence's College, Brisbane.
The ANBOC2012 program is designed for school, community band, and orchestra directors at all levels. The conference includes conducting master classes, forums to explore repertoire, rehearsal techniques, and instrument pedagogy, and additional opportunities to discover the latest in music technology.
The conference will be led by international and Australian clinicians including Craig Kirchhoff (University of Minnesota), Richard Miles (Morehead State University and editor of the Teaching Music Through Performance in Band books) and Joanne Irwin (Oberlin Conservatory). The program also includes performances by some of Australia's leading ensembles including the Elder Conservatorium Wind Symphony and the Queensland Wind Orchestra.
