Review: National Board Meeting 2 August 2009
The National Board met as a mixed in-person and teleconference meeting on Sunday 2 August 2009. Many topics from the recent, July 19 meetings made the agenda and received significant consideration. Actions of the Board included:
- reviewing and accepting the minutes of 19 July 2009 Nat’l Board Meeting
- formally accepting the nomination of Denton Thomas (VIC) and Darryn Wright (VIC) as National Secretary and National Treasurer, respectively
- withdrawal of support for continued planning of ANBOC2010
- a request for the National Treasurer to present a formal report on the National Treasury
- acceptance of the current redesign of the ABODA logo, including cuffs
- acceptance of a raise in National dues, effective at each State's next membership billing cycle
- a formal affirmation of support for the continued development and financial support of the ABODA web site
The attending State Branch Presidents also extended their continued support to the next issue of Maestro by endorsing President Mathers' request for more detailed State reports. Notably, ABODA Queensland is keeping an open discussion in how they may best assist with President Mathers' work.
